The use of SEA-i® is, in most cases, entirely exempt from labeling

SEA-i® can help lift your products above the rest in that, having been recognized as “processing aids” by the CODEX Alimentarius (FAO/WHO), and as “incidental additive” by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and its components its use is, in most cases, entirely exempt from labeling.

The reason for these exemptions is that SEA-i® enzymes are active during the processing phase only. The moment they enter the food, the enzymes begin to slowly lose their catalytic power through the depletion of their specific substrates, and process called denaturation. By the time the product is finished, SEA-i® enzymes are completely inert.

Another reason SEA-i® has received such favorable consideration and is head and shoulders above the competition is the minute amounts needed to protect your food. With recommended doses at well below 0.04% of the finished product, the presence of SEA-i® is deemed insignificant.
